COOKIES POLICY
1. Introduction: What the Cookies Policy covers
With this Cookies Policy (hereinafter “Policy”), the company “EFMI SA” (hereinafter “Company”) provides users and visitors of its website (hereinafter “users”) with information regarding the use of digital trackers (hereinafter “cookies”). Specifically, the user is informed about the meaning of cookies, the type of cookies installed on their terminal device, the type of data they collect, the purpose and the recipients to whom such data may be transmitted.
Furthermore, through this Policy, the user is informed of the ability to configure or disable cookies, depending on the type of cookies and the browser being used.
2. Definition of cookies
Cookies are small digital text files that are sent from the website’s web server to the user’s terminal device, where they are stored when the user visits the website. The purpose of cookies is to send information to the server each time the user performs specific actions on the website, such as when selecting another page of the website or selecting a specific product on a webpage.
However, this information can be stored on the website’s server (through the storage of digital trackers on each user’s terminal device) only if approved (by providing electronic consent) by the respective user. An exception applies to information stored by necessary (essential) cookies, which are strictly required for the operation of the website, for reasons of security and/or uninterrupted browsing of the user on the website. This information remains stored for a period corresponding to the duration of the cookie’s operation in the user’s browser [persistent or non-persistent (session) cookies], unless the user deletes them from their browser.
Based on the respective purpose, either “first-party cookies” are placed — i.e. cookies installed by us — or “third-party cookies”, which are installed by others through our website, as you can find out in detail through the table below.
3. Cookies on this website
This website makes use of digital tracker (cookie) technology, and specifically the following categories of cookies:
Necessary / essential cookies
Technically necessary cookies are used to support the essential functions of the website. Storing these cookies is strictly necessary because, without storing these specific cookies, the website cannot operate securely and continuously, resulting in the user not enjoying the level of security and usability they seek. These cookies are stored on the user’s terminal device without the possibility of rejection, for the reasons mentioned above. Rejecting these cookies would directly result in insecure browsing and the absence of full website usability during the user’s browsing session.
Analytics and traffic measurement cookies
Analytics and traffic measurement cookies collect information about how users interact with webpages, collecting and sending aggregated information on an usually anonymous basis, for the purpose of statistical analysis, website improvement and the provision of content that users seek (such as which pages they visit most frequently, the time they spend on the website, or whether they encountered problems or received error messages from the webpages). These cookies are placed by us or third-party providers on our behalf. Their installation is only permitted with the user’s consent.
Advertising cookies
(Behavioural) advertising cookies aim to provide content that is more relevant to users and their interests. They collect data on users’ preferences for the purpose of delivering targeted advertising or measuring the effectiveness of a specific advertising campaign. These cookies are placed by us or third parties on our behalf and help us provide you with personalised and targeted information both during and after users’ visits to the website. Their installation is only permitted with your consent as a user.
Social media page sharing cookies
These cookies enable the sharing of our pages’ content on social media platforms, provided the user has already given their consent. When selecting to share content, these social media platforms install their own cookies on the visitor’s/user’s terminal device (third-party cookies). Their installation is only permitted with the user’s consent. For more information, please refer to the Cookie Policies of these platforms.

4. Acceptance of cookies
Upon connecting to the website, you are presented with a relevant notification message (pop-up window / banner) regarding the use of cookies by the website, in which you are asked to select the categories of cookies you wish to accept (the category of necessary / essential cookies is excluded, as these do not require consent). By making the above selection, the user explicitly provides their consent for the use of the specific category of cookies they have chosen. Each time you connect from a different device or browser, new settings will be required.
5. Disabling cookies
In any case, it remains at your discretion to control the use of cookies, to object to their use, and to withdraw, whenever you wish, the consent you provided, through the above process as well as following your initial selection, via the icon with the relevant indication at the bottom of the website, where you can modify and save changes. Necessary cookies cannot be deselected, as they do not require consent.
6. Managing cookies through the browser
You can configure your internet browser in such a way as to warn you about the use of cookies and to prevent their acceptance in all cases. In this case, certain services and functions may not work properly. Of course, if you do not choose this setting, it does not mean that you wish to accept all cookies without exception.
You can also delete all cookies already on your device by clearing your browser’s browsing history. This will delete all cookies from all websites you have visited using that particular browser. In this case, please be aware that some stored data may also be lost (e.g. saved login details, website preferences).
